Problem with extruder/board on G2s
Hi there,
I have just bought a Rostock G2s and I have a strrange problem. I have just assambled the printer and are trying to set it up in Repetier-Host. I got the homeing working, but I have a problem with extruder 2. Whenever I try to manually extrude from extruder 2, the x,y and z motor starts running very slowly and the extruder motor does not run. When I try the same on extruder 1, it works perfectly. I have tried to switch the extruders and get the same result, so there is nothing wrong with the extruder itself.
Does anyone know what could cause this problem?
Best Regards
Tobias.

Have you checked the wires? Maybe you plugged it in the wrong outlet that is X or Z axis?

No, it is in the extruder outlet. And the strange thing is that when I try to extruder from extruder 2, both x,y and z motor moves slowly upwards. Everything else work, I can print with extruder 1 without problems...

How about reburn the firmware?

Re: Problem with extruder/board on G2s
I have reburned the firmware many times. I also bought a geeetech prusa i3 x, that I have not assambled yet, so I tried to switch the GT2560 board with that one, and I got the same result. So it is unlikely that it is a defect in the board.
I think it must be something in the firmware...
In the config.h file there is a line:
#define MOTHERBOARD 7
The manual for the GT2560 board says that this should be the setting for GT2560 (single-nozzle). But it does not say anything about what this value should be if you have dual extruders....
Best regards

Re: Problem with extruder/board on G2s
Either dual extruders or single extruder the num is 7. That's not the reason.
That must be the firmware problem, I suggest you use the single extruder these days, we'll figure it out asap.

Re: Problem with extruder/board on G2s
It will be a problem with the pin alignment in marlin. It will be configured like a 2nd z motor ie. Prusa, 2 z motors.
I have the same problem.
I have the same problem.
