Only one motor moves at a time when moving X,Y, Z manually

Post by esteven » Fri May 19, 2017 2:57 pm

Hi All,

I recently updated the firmware of my Rostock 301 3-in-1 nozzle 3D printer. When I manually tried to move the Z axis, only one of the motors moved. Likewise when I tried to move to X and Y directions, only one motors move. Each direction corresponds to each stepper motors it seemed like. Does anybody has any clue how to fix this? Thank you soooo much. I have been working on the Rostock for weeks, any help will be much appreciated.

Hi,I think you should check the voltage of the motor driver and the motor connector.
Measure the voltage of the driver board, normally the value should be 0.8V-1.2V, you can put the red probe of multimeter on the potentiometer, and put the black one on the GND.
If the voltage is too low or too high, the step motor will not work stable. You can rotate the potentiometer on the driver to adjust the voltage to about 1.0V and see it if works.
