Re: steppers not working
hi,i check the wire connection,it's ok.now ,you need to finish the trouble-shooting activities.
1.Check the jumpper cap below the A4988.all jumpper caps should be pluged in.
2.Check the motor wires.please re-plug the motor wires and tighten it.
3.Swap the motor wires of x axis with y,z or extruder.if it works ,the cable is ok.
4.Check the driver board.do you have 8825,you can use 8825 to test the board.
5.Do auto-home,and control the motor by LCD.

Re: steppers not working
Hi Eric
Thank you for your help
I took the a4988 from my RUMBA board (which is the reason that I'm changing to RAMPS) that never worked well, and also took one of my printer's motor to be sure as you can see the white a4988 connected to the board.
I did try all five steppers but no result.
No lcd yet, should get it by mail everyday
Might be an issue with 2 jumpers, changed them too
last time i tried to connect with Repetier i got a message that my device is limited to 115200 baud rate, so I changed the baud rate in both, Marlin and Repetier to 115200 baud rate, but no luck yet, however, I do get a message on Repetier's Manual Control tab that say "Command waiting" and the number increased as I keep trying to send commands, and I learnt that it is baud rate problem... but I set it up correctly, I think...
Any idea?
Uri
