How to correct wrong extruder home position (Me Creator)

Post by peptokok » Sat Jan 24, 2015 2:28 am

Me creator is placing the extruder to x=0 y=0 z=0 . but hot bed height always is being wrong positioning . the x and z motors are same. the motors make noise because of pushing the end points or extuder while positioning.
where must the extruder stand before printing.
what are the true coordinates. how can I adjust. Please help.

Dear friend,

The position of zero of printer denpends on setting of firmware, limit-switch's location(max of min), and the connection of motor.
Before printing , the position of zero of Me Creator extruder locates at the top-left-corner of the machine, where the limit-switch locates.
The default setting is minimum limit in firmware, which means X=0, Y=0, Z=0. You can manually control the moving direction of every axis to check whether the connection of motor is correct.
If the motor moves in the opposite direciton, please connect the motor reversely

Best regards!

Help! I had to clear the extruder and had to unfix the X belt. Now it homes at "X175 X165" Z is correct. I can move the printer but it has completely the wrong coordinates. What can I do to get the correct coordinates again? (Me Creator 2) I tried the Reset button, Restore Failsafe and set home offsets but nothing worked.

You can check the Configuration.h in the Marlin firmware to see if auto-leveling is enabling.
