PRUSA I3 M201 Z AXIS MOTORS TURN CLOCKWISE-COUNTERCLOCKWISE

Post by TPAPOUT1 » Thu Dec 31, 2015 4:03 am

I just assembled the M201 but I have a major problem the two stepper motors run in a different turn, the left one turns clockwise (from left to right) and the other one counter clockwise (from right to left). This has as result the z axis the left side goes down and the right side goes up . Is there any idea how i can make them work in the same way. I mentioned that the wiring in the motherboard is upside down . Please any help.

you must have wrongly connected the wirings, I remember the Z axis motors are controled by the same driver so it will only turn in the same direction.

Yes but the wiring in the board is different. Anyway I cut the wires of the one motor and i connected them upside down so after that the two motors turn in the same way. Any way it is impossible to connect them in a wrong way because the female connector on the board accepts the male of the motor only in one way. Please mention that in my board the two connectors in the board is diverted .Finally with that modification (cutting) the motors works in the same direction but the z axis still has a problem, It turns but with gaps. Maybe the problem is the calibration of the rods. I Keep trying.

maybe check this link here:

and lubricate the rods see if it works.
