faulty DRV8825

Post by reddo » Mon Jul 07, 2014 4:00 pm

Hi there,

Of my five DRV8825 drivers, 4 work perfect but one doesn't.

All Vrefs are set to 0.6 Volts to match the 1.2A motors, all connected identically and when replacing teh faulty one, the motor works so it is definately the one DRV8825

Ebay order was for object 310876101036

Please let me know what you can do.

Thanks,

Redmer

Dear friend,
We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused you.
But I have to tell you that all our products are 100% tested before shipping out.
We are always on your side and trying our best to help you to solve it because we are serious sellers.Your satisfaction is our pursuit.
As you know that the international shipping situation is so complicated and some deliverymen are rude to the parcles. All the products are out of our control after we shipped it.Appreciate you could understand.
Let's get to the point now. Please be a little patient and try the following steps:
1.Have you ever connected it in the wrong direction?
2.If you change the position of all the DRV8825 freely, did the faulty one still doesn't work while the others work well?
3.Use a multimeter to test the faulty one's voltage between the pin STEP and GND,DIR and GND.
Please tell us the results after you tested. We will confirm it and give you further solution.
Look forward to your early reply.
Best regards

1 - I connected it only as it should, potmeter towards the power connectors on the RAMPS board
2 - When I put in another DRV8825 in this position, the motor (extruder) works. So the fault is in the DRV8825
3 - i measured the following with 12V supply on the ramps:
Step-gnd 2.3 mV
Dir-gnd 2.3 mV
