HOT END/MOTOR ISSUES

Hello, i am an eletronics engineer but i am losing my mind with this printer A20M GT2560 V3.0...

I was able to build it and use it for 3 months all just fine, no issues!!

- One day i printed a higher large print and the cables somehow got between the print and the hotend and melted the cables slightly. Dead board with only bluescreen.

- replaced the board, repaired and tied the cables and ALL OK for more 2 months!

- later i printed a higher object again, and bamm cables got melted between the print object and the hotend, but this time the board seemed ok, but the hotend doesn't heat, so i replaced the hotend, but no heat, so replaced the board again. Received the new board today, hotend works, but the X axis homes to the right side and only moves to the right. The motor for the X doesn't release with 'disable steppers'.

To sum up, i got 3 not working boards...

Board 1: No screen
Board 2: No hotend
Board 3: X-Axis fail

Please help, i am losing my mind here. My best bet now would be try to repair the board 2, but i can't identify the cause, i can't even identify where is the hotend mosfet...

I have videos and fotos if it helps.

Hi William,

thx for reply.

I replaced the mosfet on board 2, but somehow i must have given too much heat, and messed up the layer, because now the hotend keeps getting hotter right from the start and doesn't stop... I even tried to reroute the track with an external 100k resistor but got no heat on hotend this way, so i removed it.

To sum up:

Board 1: Trash, no mosfets and no screen
Board 2: Hotend keeps heating. Trashed E0.
Board 3: X Axis issue

I think i will try to mess with the configuration.h of board 2, and try to move every function of E0 to E1, and E1 to E2, and route the conectors. Anyone done this?

It is recommended that you directly replace the new motherboard

Hello,

the V3.0 is not available anymore on ALi Express or Banggood where i bought the Printer. The only board available is the V4.0 and the connectors are not the same for the extruder and the LCD.

How am i going to solve this. I am in contact with Geeetech throught the ALi express app trying to get a replacement, but there seems to be serious resilience to this matter. My dislike towards Geeetech is growing... I have a 350€ printer stoped since february with NO solution so far, and already ordered 2 main boards...
