A20M w/ 3D Touch Crashes into to bed first try

I've had my 3D touch for quite a while now, never got around to installing it on the printer I ordered it for, so when my A20M arrived today, after printing a couple of things, I decided to install the 3D touch, took a minute to figure out how to plug it it, and maybe I didn't plug it in right.
The videos show a straight row of pins [ . . . . . ], my version has parallel vertical pins one column has 2 pins, the other has 3.
I compiled and flashed the firmware for it, and right out of the gate the probe deploys once, then crashes the nozzle in to the bed.
I'm going to search for updated instructions on the new pin arrangement, just in case.
