Hi,

I have ordered (from Geeetech website) an A20m motherboard because the "parts fan cooling" was not working anymore on my A20m, unfortunaly the LCD plug onto the motherboard is different (mine is a black rectangle), what can I do ? is there an adaptator ?

I ordered this one https://www.geeetech.com/gt2560-v30-con ... -1094.html , but the LCD plug is not the one I have on my printer !

Any help would be hugely appreciated :(

Are you sure your lcd connector are black?
If fan blown, was the main board dead as well ? And that is the why you need a new board?
A picture would be nice.
Cheers

Hi, DzzD.
If you mean that the cooling fan is not working properly,
Maybe it's the fan itself.
If it is PWM, you can try to check the following: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=17886

Regarding motherboard purchase, you need to buy the motherboard corresponding to your model.
Otherwise, it will not be installed properly.
If your LCD cable is ribbon-shaped, you need to buy the motherboard corresponding ribbon-shaped,
If the LCD wiring is a horn socket, you need to buy a motherboard corresponding to a horn socket.

Indeed, but there is only one A20m motherboard model on the Geeetech online store, all plugs are fine except the LCD.

Have a look at pictures attached and this link https://www.geeetech.com/gt2560-v30-con ... -1094.html

As you can see the LCD connector differ.

I've checked the post of this forum thread but they seems a bit old, wiring diagram seems different on my mainboard

Hi, If this is the case, a motherboard corresponding to the Lcd wiring is still required.
Which fan are you referring to specifically not working?

The fan that cool the filament when extruded.

Sorry I don't understand, yes it is required but where I can find it if the manufacturer does not provide it ?

Hi,DzzD.
If you are referring to a cooling fan, it should be always on when the printer is turned on,
otherwise, it needs to be replaced.

You can tell your sales about the motherboard.

Hi Dzzd

PARTS cooling fan ( this will turn on when printing)
Was this fan ever worked?
Your board is the new-new released 3.1 ( there is a version with old flat ribbon connector befor yours hence yours is the new-new)

If you ordered from Aliexpress or ebay, the sellers might still have the V 3.0 which has the ribbon cable flat 40 pins 0,5 pitch
I assume your part cooling fan worked at beginning, and now is not.
Try to swap the E0 and E1 and check on your config file and do the changes.
Your board’s pwn pin for E0 might just gone bad.

But check your extruder extension board first
May be the fan connector is out
My case was the hot end cooling fan that needs to be on as soon as printer turns on was dead.
Found out the trace in the extension board was melt and it was cut, consequently 24 B dc was not passing.
Hope yours can be fixed

Sorry, not really helpfull :/

Yes, but I've replaced it with a creality 24v,I mesuread the RMS voltage and it never go under 19V (it goes from 19v to 24v), so I suppose the problem come from the mofset or the pin, but I have no idea of where it is on the motherboard, that's why I ordered a new motherboard ( just because I was frustrated :) ).

I ordered the printer from Amazon (Geeetech vendor https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B07K1X ... UTF8&psc=1 )
I ordered the new motherboard directly from Geeetech online store (on Geetech.com, they was saying A20m motherboard...)
I did not know about the V3.1 board I will try to ask Geeetech by email, thank's for this advice

Yes, I also think the pwn pin is bad, this is a good idea, will try this, but I have no idea what to set for pin and where it is in marlin ?

Thanks for thoses constructive advices, after all.
