New A20M Model ?

Hi,
I've just buy a new A20M and found some difference between mine and the one show in webpages or in this forum.
Is this a new version or did I buy a clone / counterfeiting ?
- My extruder Extension Board is not the same, I've free ports not documented and I burn my bltouch
- My printer is closed under, all photos I've seen have an open frame guivindirect acces to the controle board.
- The more problematic : The X carriage have an ear, so the hotend doesn't go outside the bed anymore. I can't add a purge bucket for multicolor print.

Is there a spare part to change the carriage ?
Thanks
Ju

I recently bought an A20m too, and notice some differences from what I have read and see on it on internet/youtube :
- no superplate but a sticker bed
- unable to use purge bucket
- fan duct is also maybe smaller
For the purge bucket I simply cut the part that was disabling x carriage to go outside (see picture), you have to be carefull with the x stop, It has worked for me and I am able to use purge bucket now.

there are dozens of variations of each geeetech printer in the wild they make changes over time.
OK, but it is not reported to firmware configuration variant ?
For the example of the X "ear", firmware is always reported a -10 mm position at X endstop in official sources, mo mentions of this version in comments.
I'll try to cut 10 mm of the X part.
thanks !

I'll try to cut 10 mm of the X part.
If you dont have have tools to do that, you can maybe simply order a new hotend cover

Thank you for your ansmers, I've finaly cut the piece, all is OK.
I've received a new BLtouch and installed it.
But I'm unable to upload the firmware. I'm facing the timout error :
Code: Select all
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: ser_send(): write error: sorry no info avail
avrdude: stk500_send(): failed to send command to serial port
avrdude: ser_recv(): read error: Descripteur non valide
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer
I've tryed with arduino 1.6.5 and 1.6.10 -> same error
I've tryed with several USB cables -> same error
I've tryed to modify the mega.menu.cpu.atmega2560.upload.speed to 57600 -> same error
I used to have problems to flash my other printers and decide to open the priter to uplod with my USBAsp adapter.
And surprise, no connectors, it seems to be a new bord, marked as GT2560
v3.1

Hi Vert,
Good idea ! I had install the drivers manually...
I ask windows to auto update driver, reboot and flash is complete with arduino 1.6.8 !
Last question to go further, did someone know wich drivers are installed to my card ?
Regards,
Ju

yes stepper drivers.
I've seen nothing on them. It is for selecting in your Marlin 2 config.
Thanks

I have same model variation.
Where you connect bltouch?
You have the 5 pins at the top of the small board, just under the big connector
