USB driver - always unknown
USB driver - always unknown
I just can not get it to connect the A20M via USB to my computer Windows 10. Is there possibly a trick? I downloaded the CH41SER. But it comes always unknown USB device error 43! Can someone help ?

The Driver I used
http://www.wch.cn/download/ch341ser_zip.html
Though I have this on Windows 7, what I had to do was use the Ardwino IDE to edit the Baud Rate in the Firmware down to 115200 (The Max windows seems to support) so I'm talking about the Marlin firmware, editing the configuration.h file and reduce from 250000 to 115200
so first download and install the latest ArdwinoIDE, then get the Marlin Firmware for the A20M open it in Ardwino IDE, Edit that Configuration.h file and push up the firmware change to the printer (Yeah i know it's a chicken and the Egg thing though this seemed to work, so I wondered if the IDE has its own driver)
If you look at your Devices, the Comm port, the Max Speed, does it match the Baud rate listed in the A20M Control Panel? After I did that change it worked, perhaps in Linux it can go as high as 250000 though seems not in windows, or at least not for that driver
when you make that change in the Firmware you should see the Baud rate change reflected in the A20M Panel, then it should match the Baud Rate in the Windows Com device that you are using
I would suggest Geeetech send out the A20M's at 115200 as default, or at least look at what is going on there for a better fix for windows users, because it dosent seem to work strait out the box for Windows user (How about include a Software CD for your users, that may save them like a Week of frustration) its not like the slower speed will make the printer go faster so go for Safety settings please Geeetech

Hi William.
In my opinion, colleague was installing the wrong driver.

Re: USB driver - always unknown
Thanks for your help but it has been found that the 2560 board is broken and therefore no connection via USB could be made.
