Hotend Assembly

Post by new2geeetech » Tue Feb 26, 2019 3:12 am

How tight is the hotend unit suppose to hang on the 2020? There is alot of movement on mine but I don't know how to tighten the wheels against the 2020 extrusion. If I manually push the hotend up slightly, the top two wheels are barely even touching v-slot on the 2020. There is an eccentric spacer on the bottom wheel but it appears to do nothing when I turn it.

SOLVED. The bottom of the plate which the 3 wheels are attached was slightly bent outward/backward. The eccentric spacer could not compensate for the increased distance between the bottom wheel and the 2020. I was able to bend the plate back flat by hand. The hotend unit is no longer just hanging loose on the v-slot.

The plate needs to be made stronger.
