Auto home , Z axis steps up 1cm

Post by Hanalei » Sun Apr 12, 2020 3:30 am

Hi,
I've got a A20 M since three weeks. And I've got massive issues with this printer.
I made the setup due to the instuctions but the printer doesn't work right.
One issue is that when pushing the auto home button , z axis steps up aproxamatly 1cm, this happens again and again while pushing autohome,
The systemlevel shows Z axis at 0.000 every time.
After setup z axis to home manualy and starting level corners, z axis steps up 1cm and then goes to the corners.
when Start a print file , z axis steps up 1 cm and starts printing.
I've yet renewed the firmware many times but it doesn't take effect to this issue.
Instaling 3D touch is totally impossible, due to this issue.

Can anybody help me ??

Hi, Can you provide specific videos?
Or check the position of the z-axis limit switch, you can try to adjust it appropriately.
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Hi William,
here is video which shows the issue.
The problem with z axis (autohome) happens sometimes , if I switch out printer for a longer time 2 hours or more or install the actual firmware again the problem disapears. But returns again, after a few trials.https://www.geeetech.com/forum/download ... ew&id=7817

In the picture are shown some print trials, every trial another setup
- temperature from 190 to 210 °C,
- flow from 85 to 110%
- speed from 85 to 100%
result is always more than bad.
To me it seems that the changes havent taken place, because the extruder stepper seem to run same speed. Other parameters like temperature and flow Icant control visualy. I do have to believe in display.
I had PLA filament.
I tried also ABS with other setup before, the results were as bad as with PLA.https://www.geeetech.com/forum/download ... ew&id=7816

I've got also a renkforce printer , I never got such massive issues with it.
I think this issues can't be normal. At least I got no proper print with the A20M.
From this time I spent more than 20hours of unsuccessful trials.
Would it be possible that the controler doesnt work right.

Hi,to calibrate the extruder, you can refer to this link

You can check the position of the limit switch on the Z-axis to adjust。

You have your 3d touch unplugged. Did you install the 3d touch firmware?

The 3d touch takes over your Z axis, so the firmware won't work without the sensor plugged in.
And vice versa, if you are unplugging it you have to switch back to the Non-3d-touch firmware.

Did you forget to save your z-offset after calibrating?

After you have done

Code: Select all

Motion-> control -> z-offset
(mine is calibrated to -1.05) it will only work until the machine is reset. You have to also do a

Code: Select all

Control -> Store settings
for it to save betwen reboots.
