Mounting stepper motor dampers on geeetech a20

Hi everyone!
I recently ordered some 3d nema17 dampers to make my geeetech a20 more silent, but I found out that the motor stepper of the printer can't handle the additional depth required to mount it.
In the videos I found here and there, the rotating part of the motor has a screw that allows to set the height of itself, while my motor does not.
Mounting the dampers makes the motor tape go out of its course, and I feel it's not compatible.
What would you suggest to do in order to make the motors more silent? Should VidMate Mobdro
I purchase a motor with the additional degree of freedom for the rotating part?
Thanks everyone.
