Heat bed - Thermistor

i did accidentally remove the tape off the heat Thermistor and im not sure how it should be.
mine looks like this.

and i was thinking maybe i should re wire and do this like this,

put the extra wire coding and head resistance glue kit.

(this is not any special wires - this just normal electric wires right ? )

I think you can just connect it as the first pic shows, just make sure the two wires are not shorted out with each other.
