Extruder motor makes noise but doesnt turn

My extruder motor makes a noise and tries to move but it just bounces back and forth a small amount. I have a spare motor and it does the same so it's not the motor. It was working fine then after a print I went to use it and it started doing this. Motor voltage is good...not sure what to try next....Anyone have a suggestion?

Sorry.....should have mentioned....I removed the filament and reduced the spring pressure....
