Re: A30T: silence the loud fans
In my unit the hot-end fan (right side on the extruder) is horrible loud. All other fans (bottom and PSU) are bearable. The PSU fan gets noticable when PSU is loaded during heating but I could live with that. For testing I blocked the hot-end fan with a toothpick before switching on to hear the diff...

Re: A30T extruders on Z-Axis?
So, I gave it a try and can say: it is worth it. See details here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4825065 - a bit stringing is left on the lower temperatures (185°C). Also printing with flex material (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4824544) worked.

Re: Possible to have Raspberry Pi powered by A30T power supply?
Ohhh that's what I was hoping but I am curious of the specs of those 2pin fan headers. I feel like Geeetech should have that info but I feel like it would be hard to get the answer. Cuz a 40mm fan might be something like 0.06amps, but the Pi might be about 1amp, so idk if that would be a good idea ...

Re: A30T extruders on Z-Axis?
Thanks, found it (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4737611). I'll give it a try. The weight of the bar lies on the lead screws, hope there is nothing to worry about vibration. Best test is to print same temperature tower gcode then and see whether stringing is reduced. Maybe usable print height is ...

Re: Possible to have Raspberry Pi powered by A30T power supply?
Thanks for the response. I am not sure what you mean, but I think I just need to open the printer and look at the motherboard to understand. Unfortunately it seems there is multiple motherboards for this printer so I can't just look at a random pic lol Got it, opening the printer will help to under...

Re: Possible to have Raspberry Pi powered by A30T power supply?
If I would do it I'd use something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08NJZL2WV buck converter with USB-A socket to supply the RPi with a usual USB cable. However soldering iron and an old fan cable is required .

Re: A30T extruders on Z-Axis?
This was also my thought to reduce stringing. After printing the PLA temperature tower (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2729076) for my PLA assortment it is obvious, that the ideal temperature is 215°C where stringing is nearly gone. It interestingly increases with higher and also lower temperatur...

A30T Hardware and Firmware
Now that I received and tested my A30T it is clear that I want to make some changes and fixes in the firmware. The unit has the mainboard type M11 and displayboard S02. Unfortunately neither the Smartto-eclipse nor the Smartto-IAR repositories on github have advanced to A30T. I read out both firmwar...

Re: What is this cable that came with the A30T?
This is just a longer cable for the 3DTouch bedlevel sensor.
