Replacement filament feed?
My E180 filament feed is cracked and so the gear wheel isn't gripping the filament enough to feed it. I have used epoxy resin to repair it but the force required to grip the filament means it just keeps breaking. Can I buy a replacement feed for this printer? I only need the plastic arm that holds t...

Re: Nightmare printer!
OK, now I understand the grinding noise - if you alter the temperature just after it has started to align itself for printing it goes apeshit. I won't do that again and I'll make sure the 1st layer temp is set up in the slicer. Screen keeps resetting though, even after formatting the SD card. Still ...

Re: Temperature dropping
Nope, normal room temp.
I bought yet another new print head and it's fine now.
Cheap Chinese shit, terrible soldering...

Temperature dropping
The temperature of the print head drops during printing. I set it at 221C but while it prints it drops down to 204C then maybe back up to 210C at points meaning the filament doesn't feed properly as it's too cool. Is this a print head problem? Are print heads available to buy? If so is there a link ...

Re: Nightmare printer!
I thought I'd reply to my original post because I think it's fair to give my views now that the printer is working. Over the last couple of months I have printed around 200 components on this 3D printer and overcome some of the initial problems I've had. Maybe I was too quick to judge this printer b...

Screen resetting problem
The screen of my E180 keeps resetting throughout any print.
The print finishes fine despite this but is there a fix for this?
Video showing the problem...

Re: Nightmare printer!
Thanks for the reply. I have upped the temperature to 220C and it's a lot better. What is the recommended temperature for PLA? The model is the E180. At the moment at 220C it seems to be printing OK and not had the loud noise today (it's not the fan!) but if it happens again I'll provide a video. Ho...

Nightmare printer!
Did some good research on this and bought it this week. Some questions... 1. Is there a known problem with the extruder gear/motor? It slips even when print head is at or above recommended temperature. 2. After cancelling a print and trying to reprint it from scratch, it starts on the layer it stopp...
