Re: Changing from 0.4mm to 0.6mm nozzle tip
Good advice. You should also check the e steps. It looks like there is not enough material extruded.

Re: Cura 4.2.0 and the A30 Settings [Important]
I have not yet upgraded to 4.2.1 because the setup works good right now and I have a few prints waiting.
After that I will install the new version.

A30 Bed level operation in Cura via USB/SD
When printing a file directly from the SD card with the A30 with Sensor, the printer is performing a checkup/leveling of the bed before printing. It checkes 10 points on the bed. When printing with Cura over the USB cable, the printer is performing only a short test and is touching only the middle o...

Re: Printing with Pet-G on the A30
During my research for PETG, I found that most people who talk about the subject online, advice quite low print speeds for petg. I am sure there are ways to improve speed and or quality but with the A30 standard config it is better to print the material slower. Oh and I believe, that the A30 in stan...

Re: Printing with Pet-G on the A30
That T-Rex Skull looks cool. I have printed it aswell but much smaller. Since I also still fiddeling with the settings, I don't risk very long prints yet. But what do you mean with "53% print speed"? In Cura the speed is in mm/s. I print PETG with 60mm/s and for the first layer I use 10mm/s. Some pe...

Re: Printing with Pet-G on the A30
That looks good. PETG is a good material.
I print with 230C on the first layer and 228C for the rest.
I use about 85C on the first layer for the Heatbed and 80C for the rest.
It really depends on the filament.
Getting a good bed adhesion with PETG is really not easy.
I need to try this Kapton tape

Re: A30 Nozzel broke
I got this issue actually a couple of times with different nozzles.
I dont know what causes this problem but I always got it when I used Cura for a longer period of time without restarting Cura and the printer.
After the restart the issue is gone for quite a while.
What Slicer do you use?

Re: Printing with Pet-G on the A30
PETG seems no big problem on the A30 with Cura but it all depends on what filament you are using and you need to fiddle with the settings to get it right. It took me full 2 weeks XD
What filament you have?

Prints I made with the Geeetech A30 using PETG
Here are some more prints I did with the Geeetech A30. I will update this thread when I got some new stuff made. I start with the Conspiracy Parasite from Star Trek The Next Generation Season one. The model was found on thingyverse. I printed it and painted it to look like the real prop. This model ...

Re: printing stress test on the A30 with PETG
No, I found them on thigyverse. There are a bunch of those surprise eggs made all from one guy. These are meant to test your printer and bring the printer to its limits. The wheels and the back of the Truck need to be moveable after the print. The Truck is printed in one piece. The egg is seperate b...
