Hello, I was trying to troubleshoot a TMC2209 not working, and accidentally put a 4988 driver backwards for the Y axis. It was a really dumb mistake but now I cannot get it to work. Thanks for your detailed description. Did you remove the jumpers under the steppers as well?

I believe the small disks are there in order to prevent filament from extruder one to go up the tube for filament 2, and the other way around (at least that is the problem I had). I don't think it is ok to remove them.
