Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup
Thanks for the picture......I never thought that the mount was supposed to be attached to the cage, but it makes sense. BTW, I'm not very good with spatial relationships, as I can't do a Rubik's Cube without a book to guide me. I'll get some 3mm screws to mount the hot end, but I won't be able to a...

Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup
Ok, I'm currently using the firmware that is posted with the xcr3d adapter bracket. I'm working on some slicer tweaks to get retraction and tool changes done correctly. I beat my head for 3 days pouring over the firmware to find out why the second extruder wouldn't work. Turns out that marlin 2.0 ha...

Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup
The mount I designed actually fits inside the OEM cage, so the Bltouch sensor is going to mount the same. The new hot end nozzle is in almost the exact same spot as the OEM, so the part cooling fan works just fine. I did end up routing the wires from the fan on the outside of the cage. Mainly becaus...

Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup
I have the XCR3D switching hot end fully installed now. I'm running into overshoot on the hot end temp due to the smaller hot end size.
Looks like I'll need to compile a new firmware configuration so that I can adjust the Bang_Max and Pid_Max settings.

Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4076158 Here is the mounting bracket as promised. The slicer Gcode will most likely need to be modified to make the filament retract farther when it switches colors. Once I get everything assembled and fully tested, I'll try out some 2 color prints and I will post m...

Re: A10M upgrade to 2 extruder 2 nozzle setup
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000144309973.html I order the xcr3d 2 in 1 out switching hot end last week. I like that it will not require any modification to the electrical. I will post some build updates when I get it installed. I also ordered their 2 in 1 out mixing hot end. From the looks of i...

Re: A10M Profile for Simlify3D
Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to make sure the profile was as good as I could get. I have attached 2 profiles, a standard one and one for if you have a touch sensor installed. Both profiles now work with Simplify3d dual extrusion wizard. **Touch Sensor profile only** The touch sensor profile ha...
