Re: Turning on heaters causes 15A fuse to blow
The printer was moved reasonably carefully from one apartment to the other so the wiring on the motherboard seems undisturbed. Which thermistor are you referring to? There seems to be a bit of black colouring on the plastic surrounding the wires coming out of extruder 2. Maybe it was not there befor...

Turning on heaters causes 15A fuse to blow
Hello everyone, I've just moved to a new house and brought my I3 Pro C with me. It was working perfectly before the move. The first time I tried to turn it on after hooking everything up it blew one of the 15A littlefuses on the board. I replaced the fuse, tried to turn on the heater for extruder 1 ...

Re: Extruder feed wheel jumping backward
Hey everyone, I seem to be struggling with the same skipping problem you've been having. Since getting my i3 pro C I printed using some black filament without problems. I have now switched to a brand new roll of white filament and for the life of me I can't get it to print without the dreaded filame...

Re: Board connections mixed up
Hey _kaktus_,
I really can't take the credit for solving everything. Your answers early on were extremely valuable! So, were Thierry's instructions on calibration.
Thank you, both! I couldn't have done it without you.

Re: Board connections mixed up
Hey everyone, I got it to work. The problem was the setting for steps-per-unit for the Z axis that was recorded in the EEPROM. It was set to 2560. Thierry actually pointed me in the right direction with the example where zstep was 400. I then found the Marlin Firmware GCode reference (http://marlinf...

Re: Board connections mixed up
Ok then, boldly:
How do I adjust the actual height of a layer so it matches the 0.2mm set in Repetier?
Reflash the firmware?
Use a screwdriver on the z axis stepstick?
Some setting adjustments in Repetier?
Thank you!

Re: Board connections mixed up
Hey Thierry, Thank you for all those ideas. I had already unscrewed the brass thread by about 1mm on both sides. That still didn't fix it. It turns out that the Z axis started to operate better, maybe even normally, when I unscrewed the bearing for the left smooth rod by about .5mm. The metal mounti...

Re: Board connections mixed up
Jesus Christ! I had no idea it would be such a pain to switch from a stock printer to a DIY one! Come to think about it, it did take some doing when I installed the big bronze nut for the left threaded rod as the screw holes on the mounting bracket did not align properly with the ones on the bronze ...
