Just a final update on this issue -
I disassembled it entirely and had a look in where the motherboard or whatever it's called is located. It seemed that whoever assembled this printer forgot to plug in the second half of the Z axis limit switch. After I plugged it in it is working as expected.

Z-Axis limit switch not being tripped
Hi, I recently bought a Geeetech A10 printer and everything seems to work until I auto home the printer. When I do this, everything seems to move to the correct position, however when the extruder is lowering along the Z-axis, it keeps on lowering and eventually just ends up jack-hammering the plate...
