Re: Geeetech A30 with WLan card

Sounds like you should try OctoPrint: https://octoprint.org/ It's great! It uses a Raspberry Pi, connects to the printer via USB and has a web interface where you can slice and store files for printing. You can even have Simplify3D upload the files to Octoprint: https://github.com/foosel/OctoPrint/...

Re: TMC2208 Firmware for A30, GTM32miniS/GTM32 PROVD

I don't have TMC2208s to test at the moment, but for reference, that version of the firmware has been out since October and has worked just fine on multiple A30s. One side note: the A30 doesnt have the GTM32 Pro vB. It has the GTM32 Mini S. Here is the board in detail: http://www.geeetech.com/wiki/i...

Re: Print is not centered...

After a few attempts on the A30, the print is not centered. Slicer is S3D. Does somebody has any idea? When your nozzle is homed, and it sits as X=0, y=0, is it slightly in front of and to the left of the bed? many of the A30s have the home position too far forward and too far to the left. This wil...

Re: PLA dont stick to the super bed anymore...

Yes isopropyl aclohol works great. Rub it good with a lint-free towell. The glass material is the same as the Ultrabase and the Creality glass plate - it's pretty reliable unless you scratch the #$%@ out of it :) Prints should stick very well if your z-height is correct.

Re: Power off the A10 via USB?

Hey. I was wondering if the hardware/software supports powering off via USB? the usecase would be Astroprint/octpi powering on or off the printer from remote. If you're using Octoprint, there's a plugin that uses the GPIO on the RaspberryPi to turn power on and off. TheIt's a more elegant solution ...

Re: filamentss

ABS is a non-starter on any open frame printer unless it's very small parts or you use gigantic rafts. More trouble than it's worth. But the A10 prints PLA perfectly. I've used Hatchbox, eSun, Proto-pasta, Solutech, Amazon basics, and Inland PLA and they all print well on various A10s. The only bran...

Re: skipping Z steps?

As an experiment, try loosening the screws that hold the anti-backlash nut (which the z-axis lead screw runs through). If the z axis now moves easier and smoother up and down it's full travel, and you get zero skipping, then you have one of two issues. The fist likely cause is that the z-axis plate ...
