Re: "TMC2208 V3.0" does it work in my A30?

I can't say for this specific part but I've put 2208s in mine and they work great to silence the noise. A couple tweaks are required though in the motor tool. Motor direction needs to be reversed or there will be an issue. I also had to adjust the jerk and acceleration settings a bit.

Re: Cura 4.2.0 and the A30 Settings [Important]

Thank you for posting this. I've been fighting my Z manual leveling since the last firmware. Hoping this version fixes it. Had no idea a new version was out.

Re: Heatbed randomly stops heating

Hi, did you ever find a solution to this? I having similar problems. The heatbed stops heating but the error message is "Nozzle 0-Temp" or something similar. (obviously wrong since that pops up even if I'm not heating the nozzle). I'm suspicious that it could be the little heatbed mosfet board overh...

Re: Wrong moves after enabling Auto Levelling

Personally I gave up on it and removed the sensor. The way the Z moves drove me nuts and I consider it a bug. Other printers I have do not go down on the Z when I hit up. I've registered it as a bug on git.

Re: X Belt Tension

BennyBoy, I printed these last night and put one on my X axis belt. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10082 I scaled the Z axis up only by 20% a few times to make some of different sizes. It tightened the belt and helped quite a bit. Surprisingly on the bottom infill as well. Probably needs a bit mo...

Re: X Belt Tension

Been wondering about that myself. Via Youtube on the CR10, it appears to be on the right hand pulley. Not so on this printer and not sure how you'd do it. There may be room on the right side of the hotend to put a tightener. When moving all the way to the right, there is still a good bit of space le...

Re: Home position on the A30, off to front left

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm OK with this for now but if I push something really large out, I'm going to need to compensate. If might be set off the plate to accommodate the weird Z homing function that bounces to find 0 when you hit up. If that was on the bed, it would be an issue.

Re: Printing with Pet-G on the A30

I've had some very limited experience with Inland PETG on the A30. Ultimately I gave up and went back to PLA; at least for the moment. No issues with getting temp or with bed adhesion. My issues were nozzle jamming and print stopping midway/printing in air. Also, the controller goes to 250C but you ...

Re: my nozzle has to rub the Geeetech superplate

Mine did as well and my first thought was the same as yours, I needed to replace it. Turned out not to be the case. It still works fine just not as pretty. It did clog the head however and that was a pain to clear. Personally, I think this is a bad setup and error in the firmware design having the s...

Useful profile / starting GCode to prime extruder

Hello all, wanted to share a tweaked startup gcode profile that I use with the A30 in case it's useful. This makes a priming wipe on the front left of the plate to get the extruder started. I've found it helps with starting up. G1 E1.5 F250; (Small retract to help with blobbing on next line) G28; (h...
