Re: 'Sticky' Geeetech 3dTouch ?

I have found the original Geeetech 3D Touch to be really good. No issues for me during the past few months other than an accidentally slightly bent pin (was my fault), but it's so slight so I didn't try to unbend it. I bought a spare 3D touch and still cheaper than Antclabs. I have done repeatabilit...

Re: print quality

I think you should add a parts cooler fan and you can print the z-wobble fix (search on thingiverse), though I don't think that helped me that largely.

Re: Prusa I3 pro B first print.

I agree on the rod problem. Normally the printer is delivered with threaded rod of low quality. Many people, my self included have updated these rods to t8 lead screws from ebay. This means that steps per mm changes quite significantly from 2560 to around 400. I got mine with t8 lead screws in the ...

Re: Set up problems

Loosen the screws in the z axis nuts in the carriages, this will help a bit. Also, make sure the axis coupler is not ex-center, so the rod should be in the middle
On the long term you will probably need a "z wobble fix" part from thingiverse.

Re: Baud rate

1st: the x axis is slanted and whenever I try to set it straight, the right z motor grinds a little and then operates normally I say either print a Z-wobble fix component and rework that part OR for a quick win try to loosen the screws around the lead screw and carriage end (Z axis screw). The coup...

Re: Newbie - new build - Comments - issues & questions

One note, for that rings: on most photos of Geetech it's on the "outside" (wrong). But if you think logically (I didn't do either at first), there is the X axis (horizontal) belt, which is putting a "pulling force" on the two ends, and that can cause problems and make things getting stuck and the ri...

Re: Extruder feed wheel jumping backward

Have you set the nozzle correctly? (Factory nozzle size is 0.3 mm instead of the "usual" 0.4 mm.) Search for "extruder clicking sound" on the net for answers, but, * You did right to increase the motor current (controller voltage), but you might've overly increased it. The extruder motor shouldn't g...

Re: Newbie - new build - Comments - issues & questions

Yep, i had the same issue -- i did the loose screw thing first, and worked. But you should go to thingiverse and find a "z wobble fix" for Geetech, a printable part and use the lead screw in that. The other thing, if you has put the X carriage horizontal rod "rings" on the outside, instead of the in...

Re: Bricked Prusa I3 Pro B, anyone understand how to fix firmware?

Takes a bit of expertise, but possible with an ISP (USBTinyISP) or Arduino (nano, etc).

See: https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17120

If you cannot do it, just buy another GT2560 A+ board, it's not that expensive, luckily.

Re: 3dTouch issues - probing failed

Did you get the (original) Geeetech 3DTouch probe? There are a lot of fake ones on eBay which are bad quality.

I got a Geeetech one and it works great!
