Also, go to printer settings. Check your scripts and see if they are working according to your particular printer.

I have exactly the same issue, except that one rod is .2 mm too long and one rod is .4 mm too short. The head would get about 14mm to 20mm high and start jumping and losing layers. Some things that were narrow, would print fine, but if the print was 45 mm wide, it would hang up and crash every time....

Well, the hotend seems to be an issue. I got my 301 two weeks ago, and the hotend did not produce more than a small web of filament. Yeah, I am not a novice, did all the checks BEFORE using the printer, disassembled the hotend to make sure it was adjusted correctly.... found it together but not righ...
