Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
I've noticed that on the main interface it says Z endstop hit when I press the Z axis in the up direction. I unplugged all the end stops to see if it would move upward in that case and it's still not moving. Still goes down 10 rotations tho.. Is there a bit of firmware I should check to see if the z...

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
Hi, I bought a volt meter and I've checked all the stepper driver voltages and they are all set to .98v and the Z axis driver is set to 1v. However there is no change in the z axis behavior. It it still able to rotate in one direction only for 10 turns and stops. Do I have a board issue? What do you...

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
Also it's still not going upwards still, after changing the direction from false to true it will climb just like it descended but only after a firmware change..

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
So I swapped out the end stops and all the end stops in question are working correctly. The Z axis is still only rotating 10 rotations on the Home and stopping. During the rotations the end stop doesn't stop it even when switched to a new one. The one in question works on the new axis fine.

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
OK,
I'll swap them and see, would that explain the 10 rotations and stopping? Thanks again, you've been great help.
I'll let you know. Looking forward to this printer working! Also learning a lot about how they opperate.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
Hi, I have all the axis working now in the correct directions. My Z axis is only rotating about 10 times and stopping instead of finding the end stop any ideas why it's not searching all the way to the end stop? spins about 10 rotations up or down and stops. All other axis go till end stop..? Thanks...

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
Hi again, I changed the stepper driver out and have now managed to get all the axis running in the right directions. the z axis is responding some of the time in both directions. How ever the direction of the home for Z will only go about 10 rotations and then stop. and the end stop button doesn't s...

Re: Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
Hi I am still having issues with the one direction. It won't return left direction, some one told me to swap the stepper drivers, once I did that it switched to a different motor same issue. I also seem to have a delay on one axis. As in I'll press the direction and it won't move at all but count th...

Brand New Printer - motor/board i/o problem.
Hello, I have assembled my Geeetech i3 pro b and seem to have some issues. My y axis can only go one direction, it goes backwards very poorly.. And all axis want to zero out in the wrong direction, so it doesn't hit the end stop.(I'm guessing that's firmware?). When I switched the motor cable that w...
