Re: Extruder Overheating without Command
Thanks for the reply William Kwok. How is it possible that a 5A fuse would fix the problem when a 10A fuse is blowing out in the circuit? If a 10A fuse blows out cuz of too much current wouldn't a 5A fuse just blow out as well? I think my i3 Pro C has a 10A fuse cuz of the dual extruder, and the i3 ...

What these lights mean?
Does anybody know what any of these orange lights on my GT2560 control board mean?

Re: Extruder Overheating without Command
Thanks for the reply Toy. Here's where I'm at: -I checked the board and realized the 10A fuse was blown out -I ordered a replacement fuse and after I installed it, the fuse immediately blew out when I turned on the power -I then replaced the 10A fuse with the 15A fuse for the heatbed and everything ...

Re: Extruder Overheating without Command
Thanks for the reply William Kwok, I still can't even get my 3D printer to turn on. Do you think it could be because my Power Supply Unit is out of specification? The label on the PSU posted on the geeetech website says "OUTPUT +12V 20A" while my PSU says "OUTPUT" +12V 21A". See the difference below...

Re: Extruder Overheating without Command
I'm pretty sure the firmware uploaded correctly because the arduino window on my computer said "done uploading" with no errors being shown. I haven't made any modifications to my control board besides plugging and unplugging wires on the board to organize the wires and prevent tangles. I'm also posi...

Power not working
I think there is something wrong with the power or the control board. I've checked all the power connections multiple times and I looked over the control board to see if anything had burned or if something looked awry but found nothing. I've also re-uploaded the firmware with no success. I'm even mo...

Re: Extruder Overheating without Command
Well, I re-uploaded the firmware but now I can't even take a video or test out my printer because of another problem, my printer has just about stopped working all together. I think there is something wrong with the power or the control board. I've checked all the power connections multiple times an...

Re: Extruder Overheating without Command
That article is helpful, but I don't think it solves my problem. When the extruder overheats the MAXTEMP error turns on when its supposed to. My problem is that the extruder uncontrollably heats up until the 3d printer is unplugged. Even when the temperature on the extruder is set to 0 it still will...

Extruder Overheating without Command
Another extruder problem here... One of my extruders starts to heat up when I turn on my 3D printer without me commanding it to do so, and the heating won't stop no matter what I do. Even when the error: MAXTEMP came up, the heater continued to heat the extruder and I had to unplug the printer to ge...

Extruder Problems when printing ABS
First off, I got a Geeetech i3 pro C printer with an MK8 dual extruder and both extruders are missing a fan and heat sink, is this how the extruder is supposed to come? Also, after printing with PLA filament perfectly last week, I tried printing with ABS for the first time today and both extruder te...
