Re: M201 - GTM32 Suggestions & Questions
Hi greeffbf, I love this mod, can you tell me where you got your bits? I have had trouble finding suitable thermistors, presumably they have to the the same model as that fitted otherwise the temperature readings won't match (since we can't modify the firmware on the GTM32). Also which blocks did yo...

Re: M201 Help! It won't turn off (the hotend that is)
Hi, thanks for the response.
Yes, thermistor is working fine, hadn't considered flashing the firmware, so I will definitely try that.
To the other question though, is it possible to get a viable replacement board?
Will let you know how it comes out.

M201 Help! It won't turn off (the hotend that is)
So while cleaning out my hot-end over the weekend, for some reason I had a situation where the hot-end heater wouldn't turn off (even after a full power off and on again). I took my board out and measured the mosfet, and sure enough it was knackered (shorted between pins). After desoldering the mosf...

Thinking of changing my hotend
I've been playing for some time with my M201 (about 6 months) and have it must be said got some pretty good quality prints out now and again (mostly bits to improve the printer), but I really am losing patience with this 2 in 1 hot-end! Whenever I am doing a larger print, I really have to nurse the ...

Re: M201 heatbed failure
Thanks Toy for pointing me to that post, guess I should have had a better search myself before asking, but I find searching in this forum a little tricky. Anyway, with the help of this I was able to figure out it wasn't the mosfet at all, turned out to be the plugin connector itself. Swapped it with...

M201 heatbed failure
Hi all, I was using my printer at the weekend, and after doing a bit of housekeeping (purging the hot-end after trying to print some laywoo - long, sad story...) I found the heat-bed no longer worked. I think I might have heard a 'pop' at one point, but there was no burning smell or puff of smoke, s...

Re: Prusa i3 Aluminium - Z Axis threaded rods
Printed too myself, but not yet fitted. My Z-wobble is less severe than yours swiftmann, because I have already done some mods - I printed some different couplers and suspended the threaded rods using race bearings at the top - but it is still there, and I still get squeaking, so will update the thr...

Re: Prusa i3 Aluminium - Z Axis threaded rods
That looks like an excellent solution to the wobble problem!
How does the piece stay on the threaded rod? is it threaded itself? or does it have a captive nut?
I can't tell from the pictures

Re: M201 hotend fan control
Right. So as per the wiring diagram, the little hotend fan is wired to P4, meaning it is not directly controlled, but P0 goes to one of the extruders. The little hotend fan is only two wire (power, gnd) so wouldn't be affected by the PWM gcode anyway. Since in the M201 the extruders are so far away ...

M201 dual colour printing
...has anyone ever had any success using the dual extruders to print with gradient colour? If so I would be really grateful if someone had some step by step guidance - how to configure the firmware, Slic3r, RepetierHost etc. I am sure there is something like this available on this forum, but I'll be...
