Aluminum Prusa I3 Sanguinololu - Firmware/Software Questions
Hi, Just getting my head around all this info: so far I have concluded that the Arduino IDE is the editor/compiler for the Marlin Firmware definition file which when compiled by Arduino becomes the machine code/firmware file that is uploaded into the Sanguino board ? (the Sanquino firmware is just a...

Re: Nozzle Diameter
Thanks Mark, took a second look but can't see the "4", must be buried in the heater block.

Nozzle Diameter
I'm a little confused to the actual diameter of the extruder nozzle on my Aluminum Prusa I3, I assumed it was a 0.4 but looking at the nozzle it is stamped 2-0 ? how does this number relate to the 0.4 nozzle ? is this a code ?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Aluminum X3 Printer - Extruder does not reach set temp
Hi Shaun, Have you tried measuring the voltage at the extruder terminals on the board when it reaches the maximum temperature ? Is the board still outputting the voltage for heating or not ? That I think would give you an idea wether it's a hardware or firmware issue. How is the bed temperature, doe...

Re: Aluminum X3 Printer - Extruder does not reach set temp
Hello Shaun There is a small potentiometer next to the output terminals on the PSU which you can adjust. It doesn't have a great range but should bring up the voltage to 12v. Wether this will solve your problem I don't know, but you can try it. The other thing I would check Re the heater wires prope...

Adding fan for nozzle cooling
Can the unused 12v header pins next to the extruder and control board cooling fan connectors on the aluminum Prusa i3 sanguinlololu board be utilized for a nozzle fan ? If yes, would a 12v 0.1A be OK ? Thanks

Re: Aluminum X3 Printer - Extruder does not reach set temp
Fixed - It turns that the 110V/220V switch inside the power supply case was set to the wrong voltage, once the correct voltage selected the output was 12V and the printer had no trouble reaching the selected temperatures .... Thanks Eric

Aluminum X3 Printer - Extruder does not reach set temp
Just finished putting together the aluminum X3 and have it working reasonably well, my only issue right now is the extruder does not come up to temp (about 5-7 deg below). No matter what temp is set it doesn't reach it, I can fool it by manually increasing the temp on the control panel till it is ov...
