My conclusion : When the hotbed has reached 65 Degree or more the USB connection is lost , even if you do reset the printer or power it off you cannot reconnect to the printer you have to wait for about 15 minutes provided that the hot bed is not ON to be able to connect via USB to the printer again...

Already performed what you requested with a knife but same problem :- When the temperature of the hot bed reaches around 65 Degree I can no longer control the printer via USB. I can't see my previous reply so I posted again.
As mentioned those 2 pins are shorted. The connection lost happens when the bed is heated even at low temperature.
