Re: Help me improve my print...
In order to increase the rigidity of the whole printer, I build a plywood box around it. The top of the acrylic frame is now glued to the wooden structure. so are the bottom feet. The frame is much more rigid than it used to be. (Photo 1). _DSC3210small.jpg The second photo shows the bed that I have...

Help me improve my print...
Hi there.
I'm trying to get to the next level of printing skills. At this point, my 20mm test cube looks like this.
The "z-banding" I think I can fix.
But the side wall isn't straight. It is concave by large amount.
How do I improve on this?

Re: y-axis does not move correctly, jerking action
I swapped the driver boards for x with the y axis, now both are working!
I have no idea what happened, but I'm happy now!

Re: y-axis does not move correctly, jerking action
Thanks, I've checked all the connections (to the Y motor and endstop), and everything looks fine. The heatsink was a little loose, so I repositioned it. No change.

y-axis does not move correctly, jerking action
Hi there. I have an acrylic Prusa i3 machine built from kit that has been working well for several months now. I recently moved it from one location to another, no disassembly, but it's possible that something could have come loose (although unlikely). At any rate, x and z axis home perfectly at sta...
