Re: Filament doesn't go through correctly...sometimes
Yes, it might be the heater setting was too high (250C), however, as in my other posts, the real issue is the lack of a bevel on the throat and the gear is too large for 3mm and makes the filament bend to get through.

Re: How to upload the firmware to Sanguinololu/GT2560
The issue was resolved with a new firmware flash. To get it to work, I had to power the board with just the USB with the printer off.

Re: How to upload the firmware to Sanguinololu/GT2560
As a followup to the extruder not turning.... It was firmware. I was sent new firrmware and it worked when I powered down the printer and just let the board be powered from the USB port to reflash it.

Re: Extruder problems
I have found the issue Mark. The gear you provide for the 3mm extruder it too large and bends the filament combined that the throat does not have a beveled input is a recipe for problems. Also you are shipping the heater mounted 180 degs out of place. Why is it it take someone like me to tell you wh...

Re: Extruder problems
I have been having issues with my 3mm ectruders. After taking everything apart, which damaged more then it repaired, I have found many issues. First,In looking at what I got, it is a hack of a 1.75mm extruder that fails as a 3mm extruder. I bought the I3 C dual printer and it does not work. The fila...

Re: Filament doesn't go through correctly...sometimes
I am getting a bit disappointed with the MK8 Extruders on the I3 dual setup from Geeetech. The throat tubes have a very ruff inner surface. Regardless, I did the following: I took the extruders off and checked the idlers. They float on the bearing and no adjustment is possible. I did change a washer...

Re: Filament doesn't go through correctly...sometimes
I see your suggestion to try to align the idler wheel. I have did this as stated with “I have taken the extruder apart to align things (found #0 gear was loose). “ and will try again, but if you have a fix that adds a tube, then you should send me the tubing. I bought the printer as is and if there ...
