Yeah I ended up using the 16 screws.

I spoke to a few people on IRC's FreeNode #RepRap channel & they suggested to just replace the part so that is what I did.

For the instructions on mounting the Y-motor on the Geeetechwiki page, it lists M3x16 screws to mount the motor plate but the image/picture shows M3x20 screws...

Which is the correct screw to use

Is it as simple as replacing the part and updating the firmware? That would be simple for me.

Having to readjust/configure voltages and Amps would be not so simple... but still doable.

Is there documentation provided by GT on how to do this?
