Re: I got my Extruder running but now it jumps cw to ccw
My printer finally works, after a month I ended up buying a new ramps 1.4 board, 5 new 8825 step drivers, new bearings and threaded rod. The extruder works and I got my first print today. So excited.

Re: I got my Extruder running but now it jumps cw to ccw
I have 2 65mm fans cooling the board running off my computer, over heating isn't an issue but thanks for the warning.

Re: I got my Extruder running but now it jumps cw to ccw
Well I ordered 5 more, it will take 2 weeks to get to me but I will see if it is. Mean while I bought 10 bearings to replace the bad ones on the hot bed. I also bought another ramps 1.4 board because the one I got with the printer in the mail was damaged in shipping.

Re: I got my Extruder running but now it jumps cw to ccw
Ok that didn't work, I heated the end up and removed the filament and it went cw to ccw, now it doesn't move again. Bad driver? The motor moves using another driver.

I got my Extruder running but now it jumps cw to ccw
I found the error in my firmware so I re installed it and my extruder is working but now it just goes clockwise to counterclockwise. What did I miss? I set the current at 1.45 like the X and Y. It only tries to feed when hot, which is normal I think.

Re: Auto-home is going in reverse
Ok I found its port E0 that has changed polarity not the step driver. Other step drivers do the same thing in that port. Lower current clockwise, higher counter clockwise. Can I bypass it and use E1?

Re: Auto-home is going in reverse
I found the problem, I must have reversed the polarity of the extruder stepdriver. Now turning it counter clockwise raises the current. Any way I can switch it back?

Re: Auto-home is going in reverse
The manual LCD control works the best but not always, I keep getting a hit end stop error when it's not even close. The manual control on repetier host has lag or does nothing. I have to disconnect the printer because it becomes unresponsive.

Re: Auto-home is going in reverse
What current should the drivers be set to? One of mine won't work and the x and y shutter when going one direction. Sometimes when I tell them to move from repetier they don't move at all.

now the extruder isnt working
I lost count of how many days I've wasted in this machine. This thing is never going to work. I finally got the motors running even after bent rods and scew parts that aren't close the square now I find the bearings on the bed are grinding and the x axes grinds and jumps. Now the extruder gave out, ...
